Leveler doesn't collect anything.
Last updated October 7, 2026
What Leveler does with your files
Leveler processes video and audio files entirely on your Mac, iPhone or iPad. Files you open never leave your device. The leveled copy is written where you choose: next to the original or a folder you pick on the Mac, and the app's own folder in the Files app (and optionally your Photos library, if you turn that on) on iPhone and iPad.
What Leveler collects
Nothing. Leveler has no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no network features. It does not transmit any data to us or to anyone else.
Settings
Your preferences (loudness target, output options, save location) are stored locally on your device and nowhere else. On the Mac, folders you allow Leveler to save into are remembered with a security-scoped bookmark that stays on your Mac.
Photos access
On iPhone and iPad, Leveler asks for permission to add to your Photos library only if you turn on “Also save leveled videos to Photos”. It never reads your library beyond the videos you pick yourself in the system photo picker.
App Store
Apple may share anonymous, aggregated statistics with developers (such as download counts) and, if you opt in on your device, crash reports. That is controlled by Apple and by your own device settings.
