A new Convert menu in the toolbar (also in Settings › Convert and the Optimize menu) re-encodes every dropped image in the format you pick before optimizing. AVIF gives the smallest files; the encoder is the one built into macOS, so nothing else is installed.
With a format chosen, HEIC, WebP, TIFF and BMP files can be dropped too, and folder drops pick them up.
The converted file takes the original's name with the new extension; the original goes to the Trash so Revert to Original still works, or keep it with a switch in Settings.
Converted JPEGs and PNGs are then run through the usual optimizers. Animated GIFs and SVGs stay in their own format.
A new “Translate to” menu in the inspector turns the captions into any of the languages Apple's on-device translation supports: Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, Hindi and more. Whole sentences are translated, then laid back over the original speech so the captions keep their timing. Pick the original language to go back.
Chinese, Japanese and Thai captions are split into words for the word-by-word highlight.

More languages
Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Dutch, Russian, Turkish, Polish, Czech, Greek, Hebrew, Arabic, Thai, Vietnamese and others are now in the language menu. Apple's newest engine doesn't cover them yet, so they go through Apple's earlier on-device dictation model, marked “dictation model” in the menu: still private and offline, a little less accurate.

Settings fit the screen
Settings are now split into General, Subtitles and Watched Folders tabs. The window no longer grows taller than the display, scrolls all the way down, and can be resized.
Settings › Watched Folders: pick folders and every new video or audio file that lands in them is leveled automatically, with a notification when each one is done. Files already in a folder are left alone, and leveled copies are never picked up again.
Open at Login: Leveler can start quietly in the background so watched folders are always handled.
Kan Do is built for iPhone Duo. Held open like a book, the board puts one column on each page with the crease between them; with the sidebar showing, the sidebar fills the left page and the board the right
A task open on the closed screen stays open when you unfold, and an open task pane stays open when you fold
A project widget can show only the columns you choose: edit the widget and pick them under Columns. Its + adds to the first chosen column (tester request)
Clicking a card on a board could leave Kan Do unresponsive, with icons missing and projects that would not open, until it was quit and reopened (tester report). The click handling that caused it is fixed
Fixed a crash that could happen while the window was redrawing (tester report)
The newer Green icon is now the main app icon on iPhone, iPad and Mac, with the Classic icon still available as an alternate on iOS.
Mac: a Settings gear at the foot of the sidebar opens Settings from the window, even when the menu bar icon and Dock icon are hidden.
Rebuilt with Xcode 27.1.

New "New items in Recents" setting: Do Nothing (the default) or Mark Unread. Unread items appear in bold, with a dot on photo and GIF cards, until they're tagged, opened or copied. The unread state syncs through iCloud.
Share sheet: the New Tag row now matches the tag rows above it.
Settings now always opens where you can see it, including when you're in a full-screen app or on another desktop.
1.0.2
New text size and line height settings in Settings › Appearance. They apply to the main menu and every folder's shortcuts, and shortcut icons scale with the text.
